MY PROJECT: My project goal is centering on reflective teaching. I have been surveying my kids at the end of units and at the end of the year to find out what they liked and didn't like. The challenge I have run into is both the time consuming nature of handing out paper and pencil, along with explaining the survey to very young kids and then compiling/deciphering the surveys. What I want to do is create something where I could project it, bet feedback and reflect in an easier fashion. I am not quite sure what that will look like, it could be an excel or a powerpoint?

  1. You ask a good question as it is a challenge in your setting to gather valid feedback. We can talk about some ideas for how you might gather this, it's particularly challenging with nonreaders, but it's worthy project to consider.

  2. I can see how gathering data in P.E. would be a major challenge. I wonder if there is some kind of survey program that you could use that each student could provide an answer to a question before, say, lining up to get their drink. Kind of an "exit ticket"? If there is any way that I can help you with this on the classroom end of things, let me know.
